iPhone launch date rumours have recently begun appearing with more regularity than snaps of the device’s key components. Today, insiders reckon the Cupertino company is planning on holding an event on Tuesday September 9th.
That’s a full week earlier than previous rumours. The new date comes from the highly–respected Re/code, which is known for having an inside line to Apple and has never got an Apple launch date wrong.
What’s more, its story has been picked up by Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal. When such big hitters are claiming Apple has booked a date for its iPhone 6 launch, it’s hard to ignore the chatter.
The iPhone 6 is expected to come in two variants. One with a 4.7–inch screen and another with a 5.5–inch display. The larger device is also believed to have a more powerful processor.
