The fourth-generation Galaxy Note phablet will land at the IFA tech expo next month, Samsung has all-but confirmed.
Samsung put the official seal on rumours of a September 3rd unveiling for the Note 4 after sending out invites to an Unpacked press call at the Berlin gadget get-together.
Although the flyer doesn’t explicitly name the Note 4, it advises attendees to ‘Note the date’, leaving only the extremely dull-witted in any doubt as to what’s going to be showcased.
Samsung’s way with timing sets up what’s sure to be a thumpingly hard-fought battle for marketshare and column inches with the iPhone 6, which now looks set to show its face on September 9th.
Previous reports suggest the Note 4 will come in a standard, mass-market version and a model with a flexible screen, metal build and higher price tag that’s likely to have more niche appeal.
Spec-sheet standouts for both iterations include an eight-core processor, a 16-megapixel camera and the recently unveiled 4.5 version of Android out of the box.
