Apple is bringing the Camera Roll feature back to the iOS Photos app, after it was removed with the launch of iOS 8 last month.
A number of users complained that they had lost all their iPhone photos after updating to iOS 8. In fact, these snaps were now simply stored in the ‘Collections’ and ‘Memories’ tabs of Apple’s camera app.
Having replaced Camera Roll with a Recently Added feature, showing pics taken in the past month, Apple also faced users’ ire over the fact that only photos from this section could be shared via messaging or social media apps.
Now though, beta release notes for iOS 8.1, just released to developers, make mention of a return for Camera Roll.
The update is also expected to fix a wide array of problems with iOS 8, including dropped Wi–Fi connections and Bluetooth failures.
Users have spent the past few weeks telling Apple that its latest software update is not up to scratch compared to previous versions.
