HTC looks set to release a new smartwatch at this year’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
The timepiece will be made in partnership with sports kit manufacturer Under Armour, according to an anonymous source speaking with Bloomberg.
While few details about the watch are known, word is it’ll dovetail with Under Armour’s own fitness tracking platform.
That suggests it’ll automatically track runs, bike rides and walks via an on board app.
There were a spate of rumours regarding an HTC smartwatch at the end of 2014, but no new kit was released before the end of the year.
Under Armour’s global standing has grown massively in recent years. Andy Murray is the company’s latest big name signing.
Mobile World Congress kicks off on March 2nd, heralding a week of new smartphones, apps and smartwatches.
Samsung is widely expected to release a new smartwatch, dubbed Orbis, during the event.
