Samsung has given its biggest indication yet that it’s planning on launching another curved screen phone, after it sent out invites for its press conference at next month’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
Showing the curved edge of a device and bearing the legend ‘What’s Next?’ the invite has sent tech watchers into a frenzy of speculation.
Recent rumours had suggested Samsung was plotting a follow up to 2014’s Galaxy Note Edge, possibly as a variant of its upcoming Galaxy S6.
Some believe, however, that the curved screen will come as standard on the Galaxy S6, helping it stand out from the competition.
This would be a bold move, but could improve Samsung’s standing in the short term after disastrous financial results for the end of last year.
Other specs are said to include an improved 20-megapixel camera, higher screen resolution and the latest Qualcomm oct–core processor.
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event will start at 18.30 UK time on Sunday 1st March, a day before MWC opens its doors.
