Facebook has confirmed a new service that will allow users of its messenger app to send money to friends.
The service works by loading up your card details, before setting a PIN which you’ll be asked for every time you want to fling a few quid to friends.
You do so by tapping the dedicated '$' sign just above the keyboard to add an amount, before hitting the ‘Pay’ icon.
The social network has also confirmed that its new money transfer system will work with Apple’s Touch ID, giving added security for iPhone and iPad.
The tool will work on iOS, Android and desktop. However, Facebook says it’s US-only at the moment, with no word on when we can expect an international rollout.
But with Google already offering Gmail money transfer, don’t expect to have to wait too long to try out Zuckerberg’s take on getting cash from A to B.
