The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be available to buy from April 10th, it has been confirmed, some ten days after HTC's latest effort hits shelves.
The simultaneous due date comes as something of a surprise. It had been expected Samsung would stagger its new phones' release, in the same way as Apple did with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
Just given the official nod at Mobile World Congress, the Galaxy S6 features a new, metal and glass design, with a special fast–charging battery that delivers four hours of power after just ten minutes of being plugged into the mains.
It also has a new, beefed up camera with quick launch smarts and improved outdoor visibility.
The hugely exciting Galaxy S6 Edge comes with a screen that curves on both sides of the device, unlike last year’s Galaxy Note Edge, which only curved on one side of the handset.
It offers quick and easy access to messages and contacts without having to pick your phone up from a flat surface.
