Got an Android phone? Sick of not having a way to easily transfer destination information from your desktop to your mobile without having to re–enter details on your handset? Then this one’s for you.
At last, Google has added a simple method for Android device owners to access mapping information from their laptop or desktop on their mobile or tablet.
The process is easy. You’ll get an option within Google Maps for desktop to send destination details to any device you have logged into a Google account.
Do so and a notification will appear offering you the chance to see a card within Google or to click through to your destination’s web address.
What makes the situation so absurd is that iOS users have been able to access this basic functionality for over a month, with Google leaving owners of its own phones behind.
So, thankfully, that means no more have to remember exact address when typing stuff in for the second time. Just remember you’ll need to ensure you’ve updated your Google Maps app to the latest version before taking this new tool for a spin.
