Apple Watch: Apple releases new bands for larger wrists

Apple has released a new set of bands for its smartwatch that will allow those with larger wrists to wear the device more comfortably.

The release of the new Link Bracelet with extra links and L/XL band for the sport edition of the Apple Watch comes after a raft of user complaints.

Apple’s official discussion boards are full of Apple Watch owners saying they’re unable to even put the timepiece on.

The Link Bracelet for the 42mm version of the Apple Watch comes with six extra links and means those who own a stainless steel watch can adjust it to fit wrists up to 245mm.

The new sport band also stretches to 245mm, and is available in black and white. There is no word on whether more colourful versions will come in the same size.

Apple has yet to reveal official sales figures for its watch.

Despite last month claiming it was more than happy with how the product was selling, some data suggests the device has been something of a flop, with analysts downwardly revising sales predictions for the rest of 2015.
