Samsung has revealed plans to allow US iPhone-owners to try out a new Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 for $1.
Dubbed Ultimate Test Drive, the scheme will see iPhone-users offered the chance to ditch their Apple handset for a month.
Samsung will give consumers the phone of their choice, an active SIM card and a full data plan so they can make use of their new device without paying extra.
It comes just a week after Samsung launched its two new flagship phones and shows how desperate it is to wrest back the initiative from Apple.
The Korean company has seen its smartphone sales dramatically drop off and its profits decline in the wake of the release of the iPhone 6.
Samsung has not said what users will need to offer up as collateral, so there are some details of the plan which are as-yet unclear.
There is no word on whether Samsung will launch such a plan in the UK. Tariffs here price the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus at £119.99 up front with a monthly cost starting at £46.99.
