Apple made another tilt at the fashion market today, with the announcement of an Apple Watch collaboration with high-end brand Hermes.
Available from October, the Apple Watch Hermes Edition will land in three variants, differentiated by their leather straps. All three feature Hermes watch faces, naturally.
It’s set to be available in select retailers only, which likely translates as the same fashion boutiques that got priority at the device’s initial launch. Think: London’s Dover Street Market and Collette in Paris.
Apple also dropped fresh versions of its entry-level Sport-branded Apple Watch, which will be priced in line with the current-gen models. The new straps are in pastel colours for the first time.
Finally, it was confirmed that watchOS 2 is landing on September 16th. The new software adds new faces, third-party complications and allows apps to access hardware features, such as the camera.
