O2 has announced some deal sweeteners for would-be iPhone 6S customers ahead of confirmation of official pricing next week.
Top of the list is free damage and breakdown insurance cover when customers buy the iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus on O2’s 20GB tariff.
That means that you’re protected “from any accidents” and gives you peace of mind that if “ you do drop or drench your phone, you’re covered”, says O2's blurb.
O2 has also announced that customers who sign up to its 30GB Refresh tariff will be able to upgrade to a new phone after 12 months for no extra charge. Not sure how Refresh works? Can't recall the specifics? Here's our five-point precis.
As with all O2 smartphone contracts, use of its Priority scheme is included too, giving you early-bird access to tickets for gigs and events at O2 venues, as well as discounts at high-street stores.
News of O2’s incentives come as it prepares to announce pricing for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus on September 11th. That’s just ahead of the phones’ due date for going on pre-order on September 12th.
We'll bring you updates about rival carriers' plans to hook early-adopting iPhone 6S customers when we hear more.
