LG is priming a phone that will feature a smart ticker across the top of its screen. Dubbed the V10, the handset appeared in leaked regulatory filings in China, which have since been deleted.
It is thought that users will be able to access the ticker across the top of the screen, possibly showing calendar updates, email and texts, without activating the entire display.
While the exact method for using this tool is unclear, some specs are already out in the wild thanks to renowned tech-leaker @evleaks.
Word is the LG V10 will come with a 5.7-inch quad HD display, storage of 64GB which can be expanded via SD, as well as a 16-megapixel camera and the same processor setup as the LG G4.
There’s no news on when this device will hit shelves, but with new Apple phones and Samsung kit available imminently, don’t expect LG to spend too much time holding back before making an official announcement.
