Microsoft has sent out invites for an event on October 6th, where it is expected to launch a bunch of new Windows 10 devices. These include the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL and Surface Pro 4 tablet.
The new Microsoft Band fitness tracker is also expected.
The invitation bears the hashtag #Windows10devices, which is rather a big clue. We've seen the Lumia 950 and 950 XL leak a few times before too. They should be the first phones to run Windows 10.
Microsoft previously hinted Windows 10 would be ready for mobiles around October, following its summer launch on desktops and laptops. Which again would fit with the timing of the event.
Dell is expected to launch a 4K rival to the Surface Pro next month, so expect the Surface Pro 4 to tote a 4K screen.
It's also thought to have a fingerprint scanner and redesigned keyboard.
But Microsoft has promised it'll keep the charging mechanism and overall form factor the same, so it doesn't annoy businesses that have just shelled out for the Surface Pro 3 and accessories. Don't expect a radical departure, then.
The Microsoft Band launched last October, so is due a refresh. We'll have to wait and see if it can stand out in a very crowded field.
