O2 has joined Three and Vodafone in announcing pricing for the iPhone 6S, on the day that cohorts of early-adopters rose early to pre-order the latest slab of bijou pocket tech from Apple.
As with Three, O2 isn’t offering the phone on any free-handset contracts. But if a small upfront fee is what you're looking for, O2's iPhone 6S deal priced £54 per month with a negligible one-off charge of £9.99 is probably the one to run with.
That gets you a massive haul of 20GB of data per month, and unlimited minutes and texts.
We’re more likely to plump for the contract that’s priced £46 per month with £29.99 upfront, though. This features 3GB of data and no limits on texts and minutes.
Fancy a larger handset and don't want to pay much upfront? The iPhone 6S Plus is available from £9.99 upfront and £47.50 per month, with 1GB of data per month and all the minutes and texts you can get through.
But the pick of the contracts for us is £69 upfront and £49 per month, with a monthly allowance of 5GB of data and unlimited texts and minutes.
In a bid to differentiate its deals from the competition, there are some sweeteners to be had on select contracts from O2 that you should probably know about.
The most attention-grabbing is probably that iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S customers who sign up to O2 on its 20GB and 30GB tariffs get free insurance for two years.
Buyers also qualify for O2’s Priority rewards scheme, which gets them money-off at high-street stores and priority booking for gigs and events at O2 venues.
