O2 is offering free overseas calls to fans attending the Rugby World Cup, as it bids to capitalise on its commercial ties with the event and the England team.
Under the terms of the promotion, fans get free calls to competing nations on the day they're contesting a game. So they can talk through the finer points of tactics at length without worrying about incurring heavy roaming charges.
To take advantage of the offer, though, they'll need to download O2’s international calling app, O2 World Chat.
This is compatible with Android phones and iPhones and works irrespective of which network the customer is affiliated to.
O2 is also currently running a series of high-profile Rugby World Cup-themed ads and is offering England fans the chance to create a character to show their support for the team, as part of its #WearTheRose campaign.
