EE has today launched what it claims are ‘market-leading’ international calling packs and add-ons aimed at customers who make frequent calls to friends and family overseas.
The International Calling Packs and Add-ons allow customers to make calls to mobiles and landlines in select international locations, including USA, India and Australia, for prices that “equate to as little as 1p per minute”.
Previously EE’s international calling packs only allowed customers to make calls to landlines.
Pick EE’s revamped standard International Pack and you get 1,000 minutes to up to five numbers in 50 countries for £10 per month.
Choose the International Extra pack and you’re entitled to 500 minutes to up to five numbers in 100 countries for £20 per month.
However, if you sign up before December 9th EE is offering an extra 50% allowance on either plan.
Both packs are up for grabs for new and upgrading customers. The only caveat is that you’ll need to sign up for them in the first three months of your plan and will have to keep them for a minimum term.
Exactly how long that will be is determined by whether subscribers are on a handset plan or a SIM-only contract.
EE’s similarly revamped ‘Add-ons’ differ from the calling packs in that they’re more flexible can be added or removed at any time.
The new International Add-on provides 500 minutes to up to five numbers in 50 countries for £10 per month.
EE’s International Extra add-on gets you 250 minutes to up to five numbers in 100 countries for £20 per month.
