It's rare that a new phone comes without any glitches whatsoever, and the iPhone is no exception. Following reports earlier in the week concerning overheating problems, users are now complaining about a range of new issues with the handset.
It's not just the phone that's overheating, it seems. Some iPhone 6S owners claim their home buttons are becoming "really hot" to the touch. There is a solution though. Just hold down the sleep/wake button for 10 seconds to reset the phone.
Others have testified that their phone randomly powers off despite still having battery power.
Another problem is with the speaker. According to those affected, their phones' speakers distort music and issue "super loud" notification sounds that hint that the speaker might be blown.
The speaker also purportedly behaves strangely with the Phone app, with audio-like phone calls and ringtones coming through the wrong speaker and at the wrong volume.
Finally, 3D Touch is playing up. Some report that Safari won't open web links using normal taps.
None of these are anywhere near the scale of bendgate or antennagate, but they're still annoying if you've just shelled out hundreds of pounds on a new phone.
