Microsoft's two latest Lumias are now up for pre-order. Head to Microsoft's online store and you can bag the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. They'll ship by December 3rd, which makes them a good little Christmas present to yourself.
Both are decently specced, though the Lumia 950 XL is the flagship. It boasts a huge 5.7-inch AMOLED screen along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Though that chip has been known to overheat occasionally.
The Lumia 950 has a 5.2-inch WQHD screen and has the Snapdragon 808 chip – this is a little slower, but hasn't suffered the same worrying overheating problems.
Both have 20-megapixel cameras with Carl Zeiss optics and 3GB of RAM.
The 950 starts at £449.99, while the 950XL starts at £529.99.
Both phones are launch devices for Windows 10 on mobile. This operating system seeks to unite your tablet and PC with your smartphone by letting you work seamlessly across all devices.
You can set your own background image, it has a new and improved Action Centre for notifications and settings, and a unified camera app (before there were two, confusingly).
Windows 10 also includes Skype integration – hardly surprising, seeing as Microsoft owns Skype – that brings SMS and Skype messaging into the same thread.
