The iPhone 5se, Apple’s long–rumoured new budget iPhone, looks set to come in traditional grey and silver options, as well as an all–new bright pink edition.
Reports from Japan suggest the pink iPhone 5se will not be the same rose gold colour as found on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Instead, it will be a brighter shade, mimicking Apple’s iPod nano and iPod touch ranges.
Early rumours pointed towards Apple offering the iPhone 5se in a series of colours, much as it did with its first budget iPhone, the iPhone 5c.
While there is no evidence of that being the case this time round, talk of a pink version has sparked some gossip that Apple might take the same approach with its latest handset.
The iPhone 5se is set to feature a 4–inch screen as well as updated internal components, including the same A9 chipset found in Apple’s flagship iPhones.
Prices are believed to be the same as for the current iPhone 5s, starting at £379 SIM–free.
The handset is expected to be unveiled at a special event on March 15th.
