Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge look set to be fully water-resistant and feature updated wireless charging and pressure-sensitive screens, a promotional video suggests.
The clip, which appeared on the company’s official website ahead of the devices’ official unveiling, shows an athlete using what appears to be a new Samsung smartphone in a string of different settings.
This includes charging the device on a dedicated charging plate and looking at the screen during a rain shower.
The video first appeared on Samsung’s Indonesian website, where a slew of other information points towards features such as improved low light performance for the smartphone’s camera.
The camera is also set to ditch the protruding lens found on the Galaxy S6, as witnessed in a number of scenes in the promo.
A number of other rumours, largely from renowned leaker Evan Blass, suggest the Galaxy S7 will have a pressure sensitive screen much like that found on the iPhone 6s, as well as IP68 certification meaning it will be able to fully withstand water.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are due to be revealed at a special event on Sunday February 21st in Barcelona, a day before the annual Mobile World Congress gets underway in the city.
