The 'iPhone SE' name is all-but confirmed for Apple's forthcoming four-inch smartphone, after packaging for the handset leaked on Chinese social media site Weibo.
Although the snap doesn't show the complete box, there is clear indication that the device will be called the iPhone SE, rather than the iPhone 5SE as many originally believed.
Other specs alluded to include Lightning cable support, 16GB storage and Apple’s EarPods. The presence of the EarPods suggests Apple will be keeping the standard 3.5mm headphone jack with its new model. The company is said to be ditching the port in its iPhone 7, due later this year.
Apple will reveal the iPhone SE at a special event held on its Cupertino campus on Monday 21st March. The phone is expected to be close in style to 2013’s iPhone 5s, but with an A9 processor and support for Apple Pay.
Apple is also set to reveal a new iPad Pro model and a string of new bands for its Apple Watch.
