Apple could release a blue version of its iPhone 7, ditching the space grey model which has been available on iPhones since 2013.
A report from Japan claims that the blue handset will sit alongside existing white, rose gold and gold versions, with no plans for other colours.
Apple’s iPhone 5c, released in 2013, saw the company experiment with a variety of different shades, helping differentiate it from more costly high-end iPhones in the range.
However, Apple has since rowed back on such colourful devices.
The same report also reiterates rumours that Apple will use the same LCD screen found on last year’s iPhone 6s for the iPhone 7.
A new OLED screen is expected to be included in a much–changed iPhone, which is due out in 2017.
The iPhone 7 is set to launch in September and is thought to feature Apple’s Smart Connector tech for accessories, as well as a slimmed down design without a 3.5mm headphone jack.
