Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Note 7 will feature an improved always–on home screen, it seems, after newly leaked images revealed the company’s latest plans.
The always–on screen on Samsung’s Galaxy S7 displays the time, as well text notifications, without users having to 'wake up' the phone.
However, it appears Samsung is taking things to the next level with the Galaxy Note 7, with an always-on screen that offers details on Wi–Fi and SIM status and what appear to be notifications from third-party apps.
A revamp in this way would bolster the appeal of Samsung's always-on screen, which until now has been somewhat lacking compared to rival Android screens, notably Motorola’s Moto Display.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 is set to feature a string of amped up features, including eyeball-scanning technology, improved camera and the latest Android Nougat software.
The handset is set to be revealed officially at a special event on August 2nd, held in London and New York.
