Ahedad of the LG G6's rumoured debut at Mobile World Congress (MWC), LG is stoking interest in the handset with the release of a YouTube clip in which consumers are asked about their ideal smartphone.
Consumers surveyed said they wish they had a phone that could capture perfect images, pack a big screen within a compact frame and be reliable too.
In answer, LG says: “Your wishes for the ideal smartphone will come to life. Stay tuned for its arrival in February 2017.”
That date tallies with the date of the annual MWC industry expo in Barcelona, where LG traditionally reveals new handsets.
Earlier this week, LG showed off a 5.7–inch smartphone display, featuring Quad HD+ tech and an 18:9 aspect ratio, designed to make the best use of Google Android’s split-screen multi-tasking feature.
It’s thought that the screen will be included in the upcoming G6 and that it'll also include LG’s InTouch tech aimed at improving touchscreen responsiveness.
The Korean company is also likely to include the latest Android 7.0 software.
Mobile World Congress starts on February 27th.
