A new series of renders appear to show off Apple’s very latest plans for the iPhone 8, including an all–screen front to rival the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Perhaps the biggest difference between this and previously circulated mock-up images is the cut-out space for the device’s front–facing cameras and planned infra–red sensors.
Other renders suggested that these would sit behind the screen, while this set of leaks from designer Benjamin Geskin indicate otherwise.
While that design quirk may not go down well with the Apple faithful, the claim that the iPhone 8’s Touch ID unit will be embedded in the screen will doubtless be welcomed.
All recent rumours now suggest plans for a rear–mounted fingerprint scanner have been dropped.

The report which appears alongside the renders also suggests the iPhone 8 will have a wireless charging pad inside, meaning Apple is likely to offering a special charging module for its new iPhone range.
The iPhone 8 is expected to launch in September, before hitting shelves in October.
