Samsung is readying a new colour for the forthcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone, with rumours continuing to fly about what to expect from the company’s long–awaited new flagship.

Renowned tipster Roland Quant claims he has information about a so–called ‘deep blue’ edition of the Galaxy Note 8, which will be made available alongside black and orchid grey versions.

Quant is known for getting his smartphone tips on the money, so it seems certain that this new hue will be up for grabs when the phone hits shelves.

Last year’s ill–fated Galaxy Note 7 was the first Samsung phone to come in coral blue, followed soon after by the superb Galaxy S8.

Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Note 8 at a special event in New York on 23rd August.

The Korean company is likely to include a huge 6.3–inch screen with infinity display technology, a dual lens camera and possibly an in–screen fingerprint scanner.

The handset should then hit shelves in September.
