OnePlus has confirmed that its next–generation 5T smartphone will launch in New York. The mobile maker has posted a teaser image for the event on its Twitter feed, but has not revealed a date for the gathering.
The news comes just days after OnePlus’s CEO Pete Lau, used a forum post on his company’s website to explain why the OnePlus 5T would retain a headphone slot, at a time when major rivals are ditching the age old tech.
Other official news is thin on the ground, although a series of leaks suggest the design of the OnePlus 5T will adhere to that of the OnePlus 5, which hit shelves earlier this year.
The phone should feature the latest Android Oreo software, with a camera that bests that found on the OnePlus 5.
Expect to hear more from OnePlus later this week.
