Apple has issued a new software update to fix a bug with the camera on its 2017 iPhone range.
Users had complained that the cameras on the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were failing to focus properly.

iOS 11.2.1 is available to download now and fixes this issue, which saw the dual lens iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus switch constantly from one lens to the other, without fixing on an object within shot.
Some users said that none of the affected iPhones were able to focus properly, a major failing for one of the device’s key features.
Apple has had to deal with a number of bugs within iOS 11, most notably a problem with its HomeKit platform that allowed unauthorised access to tech including home smart locks. There has been a slower uptake of the new Apple platform in 2017, with iPhone and iPad users seemingly reticent about upgrading.
