Huawei’s forthcoming P11 smartphone looks set to come with a smiler, all–screen look to the iPhone X, right down to the notch at the top of the device.
References in leaked software make mention of a notch, although it’s not clear if Huawei will use the area in the same way as Apple, displaying battery information on one side and connectivity details on the other.
The notch is perhaps the most controversial feature on the iPhone X. It’s a design kink that some think detracts from the overall finish of the handset, while others believe it to be necessary in order to accommodate a bigger display.
The same report also says Huawei will load up the phone with a 2160 x 1080 resolution panel.
Previous rumours have pointed towards the handset coming with a Leica–made triple lens camera, with a massive 40 megapixel camera. The front–facing shooter will be 24 megapixels.
More details on the Huawei P11 are expected in the New Year, with a launch likely around Mobile World Congress.
