Samsung will launch its new Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones at a special event on 26th February, the same day that Mobile World Congress starts in Barcelona.
That’s the word from Korean news outlet The Bell, firming up conjecture about the pair of new devices which has been swirling for weeks.
Samsung opted against revealing the Galaxy S8 at MWC in 2017, as it battled to save its reputation following the discontinuation of the Galaxy Note 7.
However, it now appears to be returning to the approach it has deployed successfully in previous years, revealing its flagship Galaxy S handsets at the annual mobile industry event.
Rumours point towards the Galaxy S9 and S9+ featuring a larger screen to body ratio, dual lens camera setup and improved facial scanning, the latter aimed at taking on the iPhone X’s market leading Face ID.
