Samsung’s Galaxy S9 will be officially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech show next month. But with weeks still to wait, a leaked image has given some more clues about just what to expect.
An image purporting to show the Galaxy S9’s box, replete with spec sheet, has appeared on Reddit, prompting mobile fans to coo over a number of high–end specs.
Chief among them is a variable aperture camera, putting the Galaxy S9 on a par with much more powerful cometic cameras. The shooter appears to use Dual Pixel tech, with a 12 megapixel sensor.
The S9 has been rumoured to feature a single lens camera, while the larger S9+ is said to come with a dual lens effort.
Elsewhere, Samsung appears to be readying super slow mo video recording, a feature which has helped Sony’s Xperia handsets stand out in recent years.
Audio specialist AKG is also set to provide tech for the stereo speakers and headphones.
Previous reports have claimed the latter will be wireless efforts, despite Samsung looking to retain the 3.5mm slot on its new phones.
Samsung mobile executive DJ Koh confirmed this week that the S9 and S9+ would be unveiled at MWC in Barcelona.
