Huawei’s P20 and P20 Plus are not due to be announced until next month. But with Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus on show at Mobile World Congress, a new leak, including official pictures, looks sure to still their thunder.
The images clearly show devices that have taken its cues from Apple’s iPhone X, with a notch at the top to house a front–facing camera and other sensors.
While specs for the P20 remain thin on the ground, the larger P20 Plus has been the subject of hefty rumours.
With a larger, six-inch screen, thanks to the fingerprint scanner being on the back of the phone (unlike the P20), the P20 Plus also packs a heavily touted triple lens camera system.
The latter includes a 12 megapixel colour sensor, 16 megapixel black and white sensor and a 16 megapixel telephoto lens. In theory this should make the P20 Plus one of the best smartphone cameras available when it hits shelves later this year.
Huawei has a special event primed for 27th March. But with Samsung’s new phones out soon, expect to hear more about the P20 and P20 Plus ahead of that date.
