Apple is planning to include a triple-lens camera on its 2019 iPhone range, as the tech giant looks to stay in touch with rival Android handsets.
According to supply-chain sources in Taiwan, the 2019 iPhone will have a main 12-megapixel lens and 5x zoom. That compares with 2x optical zoom in the current iPhone X.

By adding a third lens, Apple could vastly improve iPhone’s camera performance in low light.
Last month Huawei launched the P20 Pro with a triple lens camera, packing 40 megapixel, 20 megapixel and 8 megapixel sensors. We tested the camera at the launch event and came away massively impressed.
A revamped camera is likely to form part of a wholly redesigned iPhone for this year, with Apple also said to be ditching the much–maligned display notch from its 2019 lineup.
