OnePlus 6 launch date confirmed as 16th May

The long–awaited OnePlus 6 will make its debut on 16th May, it has been confirmed, after the Chinese mobile-maker announced plans for a special launch event in London.

As with last year’s OnePlus 5T launch in New York, the manufacturer is selling tickets to the general public.

These will cost £16 if bought before 27th April and £30 if purchased after and are limited to 1,000 only.

The OnePlus 6 has been the subject of heavy conjecture in recent weeks, thanks to a series of leaks and officially sanctioned teasers released on social media.

It’s widely known that the handset will feature an all–screen design with iPhone X–style notch, along with the latest Qualcomm chipset and a dual camera setup.

OnePlus is also set to offer a 256GB storage option for the first time, with a higher price to match the greater amount of space on offer.

If the OnePlus 6 can match its predecessors in terms of technical prowess and affordability, it's likely to be one of the best phones of 2018.
