Snapchat has got its first-ever augmented reality (AR) pet, a virtual canine dubbed Puggerfly.
Puggerfly is the star of mobile network’s Three’s new ad campaign, but can be downloaded by Snapchat users on any carrier.
The pet, which is half-butterfly and half-pug, can be taken for walks, added to real life situations and star in Snapchat videos and images.
New lenses will be added each day to give consumers fresh ways of interacting with their smartphone–based pet.
In making the joint announcement, Three and Snapchat also revealed that the latter is now part of Three’s Go Binge service.
What else has Go Binge got to offer? We take a good look.
Go Binge, launched last year, allows consumers on select Three Advanced plans to use certain services without eating into their data allowance.
Customers will need to stump up for 12GB per month or more on a new contract, though, or have an existing 4GB or more contract.
Snapchat joins the likes of Netflix, Apple Music and Soundcloud on the Go Binge roster.
This will doubtless come in handy for those who want to get to grips with Puggerfly, who will only be available to play with until 2nd May.
