A series of design drawings and renders have given the clearest look yet at what we can expect from Apple’s forthcoming iPad Pro update.
The images show a device that drops the home button, with thin bezels and space for a Face ID–packing TrueDepth camera.
Best of all, there’s no notch to house the latter, meaning the iPad Pro 2018 looks far sleeker than the new iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
Elsewhere, the renders show space for a 3.5mm headphone slot.
This feature hasn’t been included on any new iPhone since late 2016, although all iPads offer the old–school connector.
Considering Apple’s push towards wireless audio, this drawing may not be wholly accurate.
Apple is expected to launch its new iPad Pro line-up later this month.
The updated models are said to have new magnetic connectors for smart accessories, the ability to detect an Apple Pencil in close proximity and a USB–C port.
