The OnePlus 6T will be sold by major UK retailers after its launch later this month. John Lewis, Carphone Warehouse, O2, EE and Vodafone will all offer the smartphone, alongside mobile retailer DataSelect, OnePlus has announced.
This is a far cry from OnePlus’ early days, when its phones were sold online-only through a convoluted ticketing system whereby buyers had to be invited to purchase.
“Our dream is to give people a burdenless experience – intuitive and powerful, combining style and versatility,” said Pete Lau, founder of OnePlus.
“The OnePlus experience begins long before someone uses our device – it’s in our community and through our partners.
"We’re constantly working to give people more options to enjoy OnePlus products, so we’re excited by our new partners in the UK.”
According to a recent study, OnePlus is one of the four most-popular smartphone-makers in the UK.
Its new phone, the OnePlus 6T, will feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor, though because of the cheaper technology used, it will be slower to unlock than some rivals.
The phone launches on 30th October in New York.
