Apple has finally released its clear case for the iPhone XR, a full six weeks after the handset first went on sale.
The iPhone XR went on sale at the end of October, but the case Apple had touted in its marketing materials was nowhere to be seen, meaning punters had to plump for a third-party option. It’s only just become available through Apple’s online store, where it costs £45.
The case is clear, so it shows off the brighter colours of the iPhone XR. The XR comes in red, yellow, white, black, blue and coral, making it more eye catching than the more staid XS and XS Max.
The case is made of a blend of clear polycarbonate and flexible TPU plastics, with a scratch-resistant coating on both the inside and outside. It also works with wireless chargers, so you can juice your phone up sans wires without having to take the case off.
