What has the Samsung Galaxy s6 got to offer?
The sixth-generation Galaxy S smartphone is the first to swap the range’s standard plastic shell for a premium metal and glass construction, bringing it in line with the likes of the iPhone and HTC One series.
It also features a large 5.1-inch Quad HD screen, made from robust Gorilla Glass, for more detailed pictures and a fast-charge wireless charging mode. A ten-minute charge provides enough power to watch two hours of HD video.
Powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop and a Samsung Exynos 64-bit octa core processor for a smoother user experience, the Samsung Galaxy S6 runs on 4G networks for faster web browsing and downloads.
An enhanced 16-megapixel camera with a photo editor, optical image stabilisation, touch focus, LED flash and autofocus is on board, alongside a five-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
To keep personal details safe, the S6’s biometric, fingerprint security has been improved. This combines with the Samsung Pay mobile payments technology to enable users to pay for goods and services by swiping the Samsung Galaxy S6 over a reader in stores and restaurants.
As with all Android phones, the Samsung Galaxy S6 offers a choice of tens of thousands of games and more practical apps from the Google Play download store, as well as a selection of Google apps, such as Chrome and Google Maps, built-in and free of charge.
