About Bath Building Society

Bath Building Society is very much rooted in the property market. Bath Investment Society was formed in 1904. Their early transactions involved using members’ investment money to purchase properties in the city to rent. By the 1950s, they became Bath Building Society, lending money to the local population to help them purchase homes.

Today Bath Building Society is one of the few remaining mutual building societies left. Bath BS remains small, but they have a big presence in Bath and the local community.
