About Mansfield Building Society

The Mansfield Building Society was formed in 1869. The society began life as a small, independent mutual building society and today not much has changed for it is still providing a personalised service to its members.

Mansfield Building Society lies in the heart of the Nottingham coalfields, with its head office in Mansfield town centre. The society has a small network of branch offices in the local area. It undertakes regular fund raising in the local community and twice yearly invites community groups to submit applications for funding.

First time buyers are supported with Mansfield BS mortgages. Typical first time buyer products include fixed rate and discounted mortgages. First time buyers can also take advantage of extended repayment terms on selected Mansfield BS mortgages, or arrange for a close family member to help out with their deposit via a non-interest bearing gift.

The society offers shared equity loans for applicants who qualify for the government’s ‘Help to Buy’ scheme.

Home owners looking to re-mortgage with the Mansfield Building Society can choose from a selection of discounted rate products.

There is a Mansfield BS mortgage for self build customers. This mortgage is available on an interest only basis until the project is completed.

Mansfield Building Society offers a range of buy to let mortgages for new and experienced landlords. Applicants must be existing owner-occupiers.
