About Metro Bank

Metro Bank was founded in 2010 and was the first new bank to open its doors on the high street for 150 years. The bank’s aim was to revolutionise the British banking sector by streamlining the process and bringing back a traditional face-to-face service. The bank started life with just four branches across the Greater London area, but it has since expanded and now there are dozens more Metro Bank outlets in and around London and the South East.

Metro Bank offers a selection of mortgages for residential customers and landlords. There are different tiers of Metro Bank mortgages for different property values. The first tier of products is for properties valued at £1.5 million or less. The second tier of products is for properties valued between £1.5 million and £3 million.

Buy to let Metro Bank mortgages are available for landlords and property investors. The maximum amount of money available on a buy to let mortgage is £1.5 million. Landlords are allowed to have up to six properties in their portfolio. Metro Bank mortgage applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis. During the mortgage application process, each customer will have a single point of contact.

Metro Bank has re-mortgage solutions available, which include free legal and valuation fees.
