What's on Netflix this December?

Don't worry if Christmas flicks aren't your thing — there's tons of other great films and TV series to watch with family and friends during your time off.

The Crown

Series two of The Crown was released earlier this month. It picks up where the last series left off, following Queen Elizabeth II's early life. Claire Foy and Matt Smith are reprising their roles as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, respectively, before passing on the, er, crown to older actors to follow the later years of the monarchs.

Riverdale

Series two of Riverdale — a teen drama based off of popular the US comic Archie — is streaming new episodes every Thursday, but all older episodes are currently available on Netflix. The series has been a breakout hit and follows a group of teenagers who get caught up in a darker mystery.

Mad Max: Fury Road

One of the most popular films in 2015 heads to Netflix this month. This stylish remake of the classic '80s flick was the breakout hit of 2015, and if you haven't seen it yet, now's your chance. Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy star. It lands on Netflix on 24 December.

Back to the Future trilogy
