HBO has released the trailer for the seventh and final series of 'True Blood'. And it looks like things aren't going too well for Sookie.

The telepathic waitress has already had to deal with vampires trying to off her, and now she's got zombie vampires to contend with as well.

That's right, zombie vampires.

It's not explained how these vampires became zombies, but we're sure to find out once the series starts. The government isn't too keen to help out, either.

"There was an attack at the church tonight," Sookie – played by Anna Paquin – says in the trailer. "They're saying it was some sick vampires, that they came out of the dark, another ambush.

"How can this be happening?" she goes on. "In this country, in this day and age, that our government would leave us for dead. Now the good folks of this town are turning on each other, acting like animals. Why they'd do such a thing?"

It well and truly kicks off in the trailer. Vampires attack vampires, while humans battle their fellow man.

Past cast making an appearance include Sam, vamp Jessica, Jason, vampire Bill, Lafayette, vamp Tara, Sheriff Andy, and werewolf pack leader Alcide.

But Eric Northman and Pam are nowhere to be seen.

So what's happened to them? The final series of 'True Blood' starts in the US on June 22, and will air in the UK shortly after on Fox TV UK.
