BT TV customers with a BT Vision+ box won't miss out on all the European football action, as Sky Sports 5 will come to the service after all.

It looked like BT customers would miss out, but the company has just inked a deal with Sky to bring the new channel to BT Vision+.

Sky, Virgin Media, Now TV, and TalkTalk will all also carry the channel, which launched yesterday.

Sky Sports 5 promises to be the home of European football. It will show 24 UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers, 18 UEFA Champions League matches, and at least three games a week from Spain's La Liga and the Netherlands' Eredivisie.

BT Vision+ customers can get the channel if they subscribe to Sky Sports 1 and 2 for £21 a month.

There's no way to get the channel on its own, and new customers need a BT Vision+ box and a fibre-based BT Infinity broadband service. To find out if BT Infinity is available to your household, check BT Infinity's postcode checker.

Existing subscribers to Sky Sports 1 and 2 who have ADSL broadband will get Sky Sports 5 thrown in for free.

However, BT TV customers still can't get Sky Sports 3, 4, F1, or News HQ.
