netflix postplay

Netflix has added the Post-Play feature to Google Chromecast. That means that using the Netflix mobile app and your Chromecast streaming stick, you can chain watch TV episodes as long as they're available.

It also means that binge watching just got a whole lot easier.

Instead of hunting through Netflix's library to find the next episode of whatever you're watching, just hit Play on your phone (or tablet) and cast it to your TV.

A shortcut to the next episode will then automatically load on your mobile device's screen. Press it, and you can watch the new installment whenever you're ready.

The feature has been available on other platforms before, including smart TVs, Xboxes and PlayStations.

While it works with an iOS or Android mobile device running the Netflix app, it doesn't work with PCs streaming to Chromecast. But Netflix says it will take care of that "soon".

In a blog post announcing the feature, Carenina Motion, partner engagement manager, and Kevin Morris, senior software engineer, wrote: "We increased the countdown slightly to allow for more time to grab your phone or tablet, but otherwise it works just like the other devices that already support Post-Play."
