Netflix will soon be available through BT's YouView set-top boxes.

It'll set you back the standard £5.99 a month, but you can add it to your BT bill instead of paying separately.

BT made the announcement along with its quarterly results.

"We added 38,000 TV customers in the quarter," a spokesperson said in a statement. "We continue to focus on strengthening our TV proposition and are excited to announce we have entered into a partnership with Netflix that will allow our customers to sign up for Netflix alongside our other products and services, with the added convenience of paying one bill directly through BT."

It was a strong quarter for the company, thanks in no small part to BT Sport.

"Our consumer business continues to perform well thanks to the impact of BT Sport where Premier League audiences are up around 45 per cent on average," said Gavin Patterson, chief executive of BT.

It also said BT Sport had its highest ever audience of 1.25 million for the Manchester United versus Swansea City match.

Netflix is already available through Virgin Media's TiVo service, and it's rumoured to come to YouView in time for Christmas.
