The EE TV set-top box now has the BBC Red Button service, so you can watch extras and outtakes.
But that's not the only new service for the box. The update also brings the Deezer and Daily Motion apps to play.
However, it's still a bit of a lame prospect compared to rival set-top boxes. It lacks Netflix, ITV Player, Now TV, Amazon Prime Instant Video and 4oD.
You also need to have your broadband with EE. It’s free to customers with a connection that's 17Mbps or faster.
Customers don't own the box, it was revealed recently. Cancel your contract early, and you'll have to return it.
EE launched its set-top box back in October. It boasts some interesting features, like four tuners, so you can record four programmes at once. You can also watch on your mobile device, but you have to be on the same Wi-Fi network, so you can't head out and watch.
It brings a mix of on-demand and catch-up services, a bit like YouView.
The update strengthens the proposition, but EE TV still lags behind some of the competition.
