Children's video-on-demand service Hopster is now available through Samsung's smart TVs.

It offers shows including 'Paddington Bear', 'Bob the Builder' and 'Pingu'. It's the first and only on-demand app in the UK to be fully rated U by the BBFC, so parents can be safe in the knowledge that nothing unsuitable will crop up. It's ad-free too, so no saucy adverts will pass before the little 'uns' eyes.

Hopster is already available on Freesat, EETV and iOS.

"Our mission at Hopster is to make screen time better for kids – and the TV is still the number one screen in most family homes," Nick Walters, Hopster's CEO and founder, said in a statement. "Working with Samsung is fantastic as it allows us to bring even more families in the UK a better experience: completely ad-free TV, with only the best shows on-demand, and comprehensively U-rated."

All Hopster's shows are easily accessible and have some educational merit, thanks to the service's work with academics at the University of Edinburgh and University of London, Birkbeck.

It costs £3.99 a month. To start watching, find it in the Smart Hub menu.
